My personal goal, and the goal of my company, is to empower people to take responsibility for their own healing and provide them with the lifestyle tools that support maximizing their potential for cultivating a nourishing relationship with self.”

Tara Grodjesk, president and owner of TARA Spa Therapy, Inc., has a B.A. in Psychology with Honors from the University of Michigan. She is a Certified Massage Therapist, Holistic Health Educator, Ayurvedic Practitioner and Aromatherapist. Tara has devoted over 30 years of experience in Holistic Health and Wellness to refining bodywork techniques, bringing therapeutic efficacy to spa treatments and offering a careful selection of high quality green and organic products.

Tara serves as the company’s President and Creative Director with the assistance of an incredible, tireless and inspired staff who share and help manifest her vision. The first person to introduce Ayurveda to the U.S. spa industry, Tara has been a consultant to world-class spas in design of their facilities and the development of wellness concepts for treatment programs and signature product lines. She has worked with renowned Auberge Resorts, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Canyon Ranch Spas, Four Seasons and Rosewood Hotels.

She especially enjoys her role as consultant to resorts and hotels in the creation of new and exciting signature spas including products and treatment program menus. Tara has trained over 3000 massage therapists and aestheticians internationally and continues to educate spa staffs in the wisdom and techniques of Aromatherapy and Ayurveda.



Tara currently serves as Emeritus Founding Member of the Green Spa Network (GSN), whose mission is to promote the natural connections between personal wellbeing, economic sustainability and the health of our planet.



Tara has been an International Spa Professionals Association (ISPA) member for over 25 years, and was appointed Chairwoman of ISPA’s first Task force on Greening and Sustainability.
